    Congratulations are in order!

    5/7/2020

The Athletic Training BSAT program has been selected by the University Assessment Council as the recipient of the 2020 Provost’s Assessment Award.

Established in 2017 by Provost Kevin Whitaker in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the annual award recognizes excellence in academic program-level assessment and improvement of student learning.

The members of the University Assessment Control (UAC) felt that among the three worthy finalists, the Athletic Training BSAT program’s 2018-19 report was most deserving and most strongly exhibited the award criteria: meaningful, measurable, manageable and innovative. In qualitative comments, UAC members complimented basically every aspect of the BSAT assessment report (e.g., the level of clarity/detail; the flow of the narrative; the alignment and variety of measures; the thoughtful triangulation and interpretation of data; and the use of results for targeted improvement of specific competencies).

In a statement from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the Athletic Training BSAT program was thanked “for your strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.”
